This year&#8217;s Summit theme is &#8220;Practicing HOPE.&#8221; <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The HOPE National Resource Center believes that every child in each community should have access to the key types of <a href=\"https:\/\/positiveexperience.org\/blog\/why-pces-are-important-for-all-children-and-families\/\">positive childhood experiences<\/a> (PCEs). The HOPE framework centers around these PCEs or what we call the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/positiveexperience.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/The-Four-Building-Blocks-of-HOPE-Handout.pdf\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Four Building Blocks of HOPE<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: safe and supportive relationships that are critical for children to develop into healthy, resilient adults; safe, stable, equitable environments to live, learn, and play; opportunities for social and civic engagement to develop a sense of belonging; and opportunities for emotional growth.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Keynote speaker will be <a href=\"https:\/\/scholarworks.brandeis.edu\/esploro\/profile\/dolores_acevedo_garcia\/overview\">Dolores Acevedo-Garcia, PhD, MPA-URP<\/a>, Samuel F. and Rose B. Gingold Professor of Human Development and Social Policy, and Director of the Institute for Child, Youth and Family Policy at the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University. Dr. Acevedo-Garcia will be speaking about the <a href=\"https:\/\/urldefense.com\/v3\/__https:\/www.diversitydatakids.org\/child-opportunity-index__;!!CYGGtyGZyw!BjZb4UFq5QaC5v9Mc8WEAB6kxYeCVC2nGxnbVY7LGQs9ys-G-wl3eHNuxvBTdvr5CI6G--DXWZjdEnPKbOUaowLhIQnAxfA$\">Child Opportunity Index<\/a>. This easy-to-use tool provides detailed information about resources available within each zip code in the United States and has led to scores of studies about the conditions that promote family strengths.<\/p>\n<p>There will be a variety of <a href=\"https:\/\/positiveexperience.org\/training-workshops\/2023-hope-summit-schedule\/\">workshops<\/a> from people in a variety of fields who are using the HOPE framework in their daily work. Presenters will review the steps organizations and individuals can take to begin implementing the HOPE framework. Members of the <a href=\"https:\/\/positiveexperience.org\/about-us\/networks\/\">HOPE Innovation Network<\/a>, HOPE National Advisory Board, and the FACEs (Family and Community Experts) of HOPE Advisory Council will share their experiences with implementing the HOPE framework as well. The two-day Summit will feature multiple networking sessions and an interactive panel discussion.
