Presentations and workshops on how to practice the HOPE framework<\/h2>\n

The Third Annual HOPE Summit – Practicing HOPE<\/a> took place on March 29-30, 2023. We are excited to share the free event recordings<\/a> from the Summit, which includes all the plenary sessions, 17 workshops, and keynote address. The 2023 HOPE Summit focused on the many ways to practice the HOPE framework and to implement HOPE-informed changes.<\/p>\n

Listen to the amazing keynote address delivered by Dolores Acevedo-Garcia, PhD and watch all the amazing workshops about practicing HOPE in a variety of family- and child-serving sectors.<\/p>\n

Each workshop covered the various ways and settings in which people practiced the HOPE framework – as individuals, within their organizations, and in research settings. The content is meant for all levels of practice, whether you are new to the HOPE framework and positive childhood experiences<\/a> (PCEs) or have attended most of our trainings. Many of the workshops provide an opportunity to dive deeper into your individual or organizational practices and explore how applying the HOPE framework can make a difference. These recordings can be viewed as many times as needed and can be shared with colleagues and friends. You can read descriptions for each workshop<\/a>, and choose the ones that fit your practice best, or learn more about other sectors that might intersect with your work.<\/p>\n

The plenary sessions contained diverse information about applying the HOPE framework in different sectors and how to effectively practice the framework and utilize PCEs. During the keynote address<\/a>, Dr. Acevedo-Garcia, discussed the Child Opportunity Index and how the HOPE framework can further one’s research and understanding to better work within communities to help them thrive. And lastly, we held a panel discussion<\/a>, which was hosted in a game show style, where each contestant fought to show that the one of Four Building Blocks of HOPE<\/a> that they represented was the best.
