This incredible milestone was reached at the 41st Annual International Conference on Child and Family Maltreatment, sponsored by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rchsd.org\/programs-services\/chadwick-center-for-children-families\/\">Chadwick Center for Children and Families at Rady Children\u2019s Health<\/a>. where HOPE Directors <a href=\"https:\/\/positiveexperience.org\/team-member\/sege-robert\/\">Robert Sege, MD, PHD, FAAP<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/positiveexperience.org\/team-member\/burstein-dina\/\">Dina Burstein, MD, MPH<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/positiveexperience.org\/team-member\/myrick-amie\/\">Amie Myrick, MS, LCPC<\/a> hosted a 3-part workshop series on supporting child abuse prevention, systems-impacted families, and staff wellbeing through the HOPE framework.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur attendees gathered at the conference with a shared purpose: to do whatever it takes to eradicate child abuse and prevent its reoccurrence,\u201d said Virginia Cox, LCSW, Director of Clinical Operations at the Chadwick Center. \u201cThe HOPE framework gave our attendees the opportunity to move closer to achieving that purpose by developing tangible tools to transform our therapeutic work, strengthening our approaches with families, and reimagining how we communicate across systems\u2014so we can truly do better for children and families.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>The HOPE framework inspires professionals and organizations to create positive changes<\/h2>\n<p>In 2019, Dr. Sege led a groundbreaking <a href=\"https:\/\/positiveexperience.org\/research\/positive-childhood-experience-and-adult-mental-and-relational-health-in-a-statewide-sample\/\">research study<\/a> that found that positive childhood experiences (PCEs) promote resilience and improve long-term health and well-being. Soon after, he launched the HOPE National Resource Center. The HOPE team developed the strengths-based HOPE framework that helps anyone promote PCEs and create positive changes for children and families.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to reaching 100,000 workshop participants, the HOPE National Resource Center currently certifies over 700 <a href=\"https:\/\/positiveexperience.org\/train-with-us\/certification-programs\/train-the-facilitator-certification\/\">HOPE Facilitators<\/a>, individuals trained to lead Introduction to HOPE workshops, and led over 550 workshops across all 50 U.S. states and internationally.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are so delighted to have passed this milestone, and with it the knowledge that our approach supports the thousands of people, across the country and around the world, who are dedicating their lives to helping children and their families,\u201d said Dr. Sege. \u201cI especially thank the hundreds of HOPE facilitators who made this moment happen.\u201d[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]\n<h2>About HOPE &#8211; Healthy Outcomes from Positive Experiences<\/h2>\n<p>Based at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts, the HOPE National Resource Center sees a world that honors and promotes positive experiences as necessary for health and well-being.
