HOPE en Espa\u00f1ol: Training Facilitators, building community, and promoting positive childhood experiences<\/b><\/h2>\n

Over the past several years, <\/span>Healthy Outcomes from Positive Experiences (HOPE), a framework centered on promoting positive childhood experiences<\/a> (PCEs),<\/span> has continued to grow and resonate across countries, disciplines, and communities. An increasing number of people, working in diverse roles, are seeking to promote positive experiences in childhood and adolescence as a concrete pathway to strengthening mental, physical, relational, and social health across the lifespan.<\/span><\/p>\n

In <\/span>March 2026<\/b>, <\/span>HOPE en Espa\u00f1ol<\/span><\/a> takes an important step forward by inviting participants to join the <\/span>first Spanish-language cohort of the HOPE <\/b>Train the Facilitator<\/i><\/b> (ToF) Certification<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is a ToF?<\/b><\/h2>\n

The HOPE <\/span>Train the Facilitator<\/span><\/i> (ToF) program is designed for individuals who want to go one step further\u2014not only gaining a deep understanding of the HOPE framework, but also developing the skills and confidence needed to <\/span>facilitate introductory HOPE trainings<\/b> within their own communities and professional contexts.<\/span><\/p>\n

Participants in a ToF become <\/span>key drivers<\/b> in sharing the core concepts of the HOPE framework with work teams, partner organizations, and community members, adapting the content to local realities.<\/span><\/p>\n

What will you learn?<\/b><\/h2>\n

At the completion of the <\/span>Train the Facilitator<\/span><\/i> Certification program, participants are certified to <\/span>facilitate their own version of the Introduction to HOPE training<\/b>, specifically designed to respond to the characteristics, needs, and challenges of their community and sector.<\/span><\/p>\n

Each ToF cohort will include 10\u201320 participants and will take place through three interactive, hands-on sessions over a 4\u20136 week period.<\/span><\/p>\n

Spanish-language cohorts will allow facilitators from different Spanish-speaking countries to access training, peer exchange spaces, and resources entirely in Spanish, as part of the global HOPE training ecosystem.<\/span><\/p>\n

The first cohort will begin in March, with additional cohorts offered every 2\u20133 months throughout the year.<\/span><\/p>\n

More than translation: Context, connection, and culture<\/b><\/h2>\n

This Spanish-language ToF is not conceived simply as a translation of existing materials. It is also a pilot program aimed at building a sustainable model of bilingual facilitation, strengthening cultural belonging, and fostering cross-country collaboration by and for Spanish-speaking communities.<\/span><\/p>\n

Those who have been actively involved in developing HOPE en Espa\u00f1ol have been clear: <\/span>translation alone is not enough<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bringing the HOPE framework into Spanish requires recognizing context, respecting local ways of naming, relating, and caring, and creating materials that reflect the values, experiences, and lived realities of Latin American, Hispanic, and U.S. Latino communities.<\/span><\/p>\n

Access to PCEs should not be shaped by where a child is born or lives, the language they speak, or chance.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

HOPE en Espa\u00f1ol is grounded in this conviction: that positive experiences must be culturally meaningful and<\/span> actively promoted across all contexts and communities.<\/b><\/p>\n

Our goal is for the HOPE framework to be lived and implemented in Spanish with the same depth and reach as in English\u2014and for language to become a <\/span>bridge<\/b>, allowing the HOPE framework to reach communities that have not yet been exposed to this framework.<\/span><\/p>\n
